Campeonato hípico de talla mundialVilla de Álvarez, Colima.- En el marco de la Feria de la Petatera 2009 fue realizado, del 13 al 15 de febrero pasado, el Campeonato del Caballo Pura Raza Española en México, evento con que inició el festejo, en el cual los ejemplares ecuestres participaron en un Concurso Morfológico por Secciones, Prueba de Funcionalidad y de Mejores Movimientos.
El evento contó con la importante presencia de Sergio Marcelino Bravo Sandoval, Secretario de Turismo del Estado de Colima; de Juan Jorge y Álvaro Favier, propietarios de Ganadería Favier, así como ganaderos de otras regiones de México, poniendo en alto el nombre de Colima como región con fuerte poder de convocatoria.

World renown horse-back riding championshipVilla de Alvarez, Colima.- During the Petatera Fair of 2009 , from the 13 to the 15 of February the championship of Spanish pure breed horses in Mexico was held, event which began the festivities, during which the horses participated in a Morphological contest by sections, a functional test and best movements.
The event counted with the important presence of Sergio Marcelino Bravo Sandoval, secretary of Tourism of the state of Colima; Juan Jorge y Alvaro Favier , owners of cattle breeding Favier, as well as cattle breeders of other regions of Mexico, giving Colima a high prestige as a region of strong summon power
